The NEW Digital SAT Prep at Ivy

The college board officially announced, SAT tests will be digital and first Digital SAT on March 9, 2024. What do we need to know about new Digital SAT test?
 
First, there is no more paper base SAT exam, the students will take the exam with computer or tablet. The new Digital SAT test will consist of two modules and be adaptive, it means the difficulty level of the second module will change depending on the students performance get in the first module.
 
Second, there is no more “no calculator” restrictions, they’re expanding calculator use. The test provide calculator but also you can even bring your own. 
 
Third, each students can bring own laptop or tablet. On test days, you can use your own devices. No need to worry if you don’t have your own device. The test center will provide you device which you can use.

New Digital SAT English

 
  • The first Reading and Writing module will be of standard difficulty, and the second mod­ule will be more or less difficult depending on your performance on the first module.
  • The reading questions come first within each module, followed by the writing questions.
  • Passages in the sections will be shorter. Reading and Writing texts are no longer than 150 words.
  • Reading questions about words in context, structure and purpose, cross-text connections, central ideas and details, quantitative evidence, textual evidence and inferences.
  • Writing questions about Standard English Conventions and Expression of Ideas.
  • One question for each reading passage.
  • There is no guessing penalty.

New Digital SAT Math

 
  • The new Digital Sat Math section has 44 questions.
  • 40 of these 44 questions are multiple choice questions
  • 4 of these 44 questions are open box questions
  • There will be more Advance Math and Algebra questions
  • There will be standalone questions instead of set questions
  • Calculators allowed for all sections
  • There is no guessing penalty.
